They buy their puppies from USDA Licensed Breeders. Island Puppies follows a strict and stringent protocol when it comes to where they get their puppies from. It’s no wonder they have so many happy customers. There have been concerns of Island Puppies being associated with Kathy Bauck or Kathy Cole. However they do not buy their puppies from her. Kathy Bauck, Kathy Cole has been denied and lost all rights to sell dogs. This Majority has said that these Animal Activists have Formed an extreme wing of internet terrorist that work as a cult to take down the sale of any puppies period. They say it’s their sole job in life to scare, terrorize and educate all those who sell puppies and try to buy them. Fortunately Island Puppies deals only with Breeders who are Licensed by the USDA as being good standing breeders. These breeders have also elected the 5 Star Rating System where the breeders take courses to get educated in breeding, genetic training, and all aspects of being a qualified breeder. There have also passed new laws pertaining to stores buying from purchasing from puppy mills. So what the big scare really about? The real problem lies in the hands of the local municipalities and the spotlight that they are under. Recently the attacks have been felt by the local anime shelters. They have been accused of animal brutality,/ cruelty, throwing puppies in garbage dumpster, keeping puppies & dogs under the worst and coldest conditions. It seems that they are trying to keep the attention on the puppy stores. However they accuse Kathy Bauck, Kathy Cole of her wrong doings but it’s really happening at the local shelters where these so called activists support. So it’s a little confusing of why they continue to come after puppy stores in NY while doing nothing about their own kennels that they support, it’s disgusting! The HSUS should be writing more about of these recent stories rather than worrying about someone who does not sell puppies anymore. Let’s move on! It’s enough already. Just ask your neighbor where they got their dog and I'm sure they’ll tell you that it came from a local puppy store. However there will always be the stories whether its puppy store or private breeder - there will unfortunately be sick dogs just like there are sick people.
